The Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Island of Sodor Playtable only comes with the train table. There are no bins or storage. You must purchase a train set/toys separately. The playboard does not come with this table either. Find playboards here.

The manufacturer recommends that children be of ages 36 months to 5 years of age. As stated in my other train table reviews, I highly believe that a child as young as 24 months and older can enjoy this table. Of course, as parents, you need to supervise any small children for any choking hazards. My 22 month old daughter enjoys playing with my 4 year old son’s train table a lot. When we go to Barnes and Noble or Toys R Us they both play with the train tables that are on display.

“This table is great! It’s solid and sturdy, and the paint is very colorful. My son climbs on it, leans on it, and it never budges. It seems very well made. We assembled it in less than 10 minutes. It was really easy to put together. While we’ve only had it about a month, I can believe it will last for some time to come. Pros & Cons
Pros:
The obvious reason to get this train table is because it is a Thomas and Friends official play table. If your child is head over heels in love eith Thomas, which every child is, then you might want to consider getting this table. You have to decide if the pros outweigh the cons.
Cons:
The most significant con to buying this train table is that for the price, you are not getting anything but a playtable. There are several train tables on the market that includes the train tracks and trains, as well as other figurines. The real honest truth is you are paying for the name and the fact that the Thomas and Friends pictures are on the actual table. As an owner of a brand that is not a Thomas the Train table, I can say that my son quickly got over the fact his Imaginarium train table does not have a Thomas face.
In my opinion, if you are able to afford this table, than by all means get it. If you are on a budget, than I recommend getting a table with trains and tracks already included. If you already own a train set that would fit on this table, then you might want to go ahead and splurge on the Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Island of Sodor Playtable.
