Moms, dads, and single people alike all deal with stress. Today starts a new series called 365 Days of Stress Relief Tips. I can’t promise to post a tip every day, but that is my goal! My family has been under a tremendous amount of stress dealing with betrayal, scam artists, thieves, and much more this year. Too private for me to write about it here, in fact, none of my friends know what is going on because it is a very private matter. I thought this series would help me as well as parents out there and non-parents who deal with stress everyday.
Stress Relief Tips: Day 1
Turn your phone off. Seriously. Turn it on mute. Turn the email notifications off, turn push notifications off. Silence your phone for an hour a day unless you are expecting someone to call. If you don’t feel comfortable silencing it incase of an emergency, try not to use the phone or check email on your phone for an hour a day.
How is this a stress relief tip? Well, I don’t know about you, but my phone can be very irritating sometimes. I get over 40 emails a day and sometimes many phone calls that are stressful. Sometimes I need a time out from the phone.
What do you think? Can the phone be stressful for you?
